Welcome to the official website of Ramazan Rabadanov. This popular commentator is known not only in Russia. All thanks to his original, lively style of commentary, which involves the viewer in the event, maintaining a spirit of empathy and excitement. Ramazan gained particular popularity after he was appointed as a commentator at Euro 2008.
Personal achievements
Ramazan Rabadanov's career began as an editor ten years ago, when he systematically filmed and commented on dog fights. By the way, he especially liked this sport. Perhaps that is why cassettes with recordings of Ramadan were so quickly bought up by viewers, many of whom were especially attracted by his style of commentary. His work was noticed, and a little later the talented commentator was invited to one of the media holdings in Moscow - there he ran his own column, in which he could touch on the most pressing issues of that period. His comments on any given situation were always appropriate and competent.
A little later, Ramazan Rabadanov manages to open his own television studio in Makhachkala, where he is working on new projects. But, of course, his work as a commentator at Euro 2008, which he performed professionally and very successfully, brought him wide popularity. His comments and remarks were instantly sorted out by fans into quotes. Since then, the name of Ramazan has certainly been associated with the aerobatics of sports commentary.
Nowadays
Ramazan is currently working on new programs in his own television studio. He also plans to open a new Internet project. Read more information about Ramazan Rabadanov on the official website.

A blogger can either raise a person in the eyes of others or lower him deeply; he can present any person to his readers as a very smart politician or as a weak manager. Let's take on Vasiliev and give him two characteristics - first negative, then positive.
NEGATIVE (part 1)
The first 8 months of Dagestan's rule showed that Vasiliev is a weak manager. He himself may think that he has brought great benefit to Dagestan and hints that he wants to continue to rule, after September 9.
For what? What will it give?
If he knew how to govern, he would have already decided what Dagestan needs, in what direction to develop. This is not the case. He could not dispel any fog about our future.
He brought in a supposedly good manager, Zdunov, for this purpose, but he, too, could not decide what needed to be done and what not needed. Zdunov’s managerial talent, if it existed in Tatarstan, died out in Dagestan. The new prime minister has not brought a single promising idea here, and obviously his stock of management technologies is empty.
A funny example, it’s funny even to voice it to the public - recently the Prime Minister gathered tourism businessmen and invited them to vote on what type of tourism should be developed.)) The Prime Minister did not voice that there is no electricity, there is a terrible shortage of water along the entire coast, lands have been sold, there is nowhere to build tourist centers , there is no sewerage system, the sewage is discharged into the sea, and he invites ordinary citizens to engage in tourism. Will tourists bathe in feces without even having showers to wash it all off?
Zdunov also proposed building industrial parks, without voicing what could be produced in these parks. This person can and knows how to lead when everything is ready, as in Tatarstan, but he does not know how to physically and institutionally prepare the foundation for starting a business. Doesn't know the basics of business. But in Dagestan everything needs to be created anew.
If these two main and highest-ranking people in the republic, the head and the prime minister, have not found a strategy for the development of the region, tactics for achieving goals with the available resources, then the prospects for their tenure in these roles are very vague.
One thing that is reassuring is that, fortunately for us, Vasiliev and Zdunov did not adopt two erroneous strategies - Magomedsalam until the 25th year and Abdulatipov’s Priority 10 projects. We are not going to a dead end. But there is no marking time either. It would be better than going to a dead end.
We are rolling backwards, because the economy is like a bicycle; it cannot stand still. If there is no strategy, then at least there would be targeted projects. But this is not the case either. Zdunov came to Dagestan empty, like Vasiliev.
This could be forgiven; with the presence of specialists it is easy to build up, but the main thing has not been achieved - there is no trust of the people. The master of their land, the Dagestani people did not see real leaders in the new Kremlin appointees, ready to go forward together with the people. None of them knows how to speak to the people, cannot conduct discussions, does not consult or communicate with the masses. The people are groaning below, and they are both flying in the clouds.
In this vertical there is no exchange of information from bottom to top and top to bottom. The people don’t know what Vasiliev is doing, what he wants to do, what works for him and what doesn’t. People are still wondering why Vasiliev came to Dagestan?
Comrade Vasiliev, what do you want to do, what is the purpose of your stay on the territory of Dagestan? Can you explain this to people?
During his entire tenure as President of Dagestan, Vasiliev took two controversial steps - he imprisoned officials and brought in Prime Minister Zdunov.
Why these steps were needed is not yet clear. Vasiliev still does not have a capable team, there is old junk all around, who have been in power for 15-20 years. Does he want to do something with these uneducated people, with fake diplomas and undefended dissertations?
It seemed that he would recruit someone from the managerial reserve, but even here he did not keep track; officials dragged their children and all sorts of sons-in-law into this ill-fated reserve. The general did not notice how he had been deceived.
Vasiliev was still unable to assess the capabilities of Dagestan and the volume of its resources. He doesn’t even know how much land there is in Dagestan and how to manage it. Tolstikova has still not been able to conduct an inventory of the land and does not know which lands can be given for business, which for recreation and which for large projects. But he regularly receives a salary of 400 thousand rubles. And this dishonors the trust of Vasiliev, the most progressive minister. By the way, I was invited from Moscow. Can't do anything. There was talk that Vasiliev himself received 3 million rubles, and Zdunov 1,500 thousand rubles.
This is a huge reward from the budget given our poverty, we can work for it and show results. Dagestanis are slowly seeing the light, but will soon ask: was it worth wasting 8 months expecting something reasonable and productive from these two managers? They themselves are in a dead end and they are leading us to a dead end. I will write in the next article what they could have done, what they missed, how they could increase what they missed.
If anyone in the government is interested in knowing this. Even more - I will write how to harness the assets of the republic, without imprisoning anyone, without straining the security forces, simply and easily, daily receiving gratitude from the people and positive dynamics in Rosstat data.
It is impossible to further spread rot in timelessness of very passionate Dagestanis. They have experienced a lot, heroically defended their republic from terrorists, love their land and deserve a better life.
Vasiliev Vladimir Abdualievich, your connection with Zdunov is not working. If you have come to serve the Dagestan people, listen to people who know the environment, resources, assets and liabilities of Dagestan well, start recruiting a team of local economists and politicians. In Chechnya they also relied on the Varangian Sergei Abramov, but this did not yield anything. And now even Putin takes local personnel from Chechnya as advisers.
Assemble your team in the remaining 2 months before your elections. Find a path, a strategy for where we should develop and show the time period when something will be achieved. If you don’t have time to do this, it’s better for you to leave this post and give another person the opportunity to rule Dagestan.
(Ramazan Rabadanov)
Makhachkala commentator Ramazan Alibekovich Rabadanov is not Zhorik Vartanov from SevKav-TV (Comedy Club), but a very real person. On the Internet, Ramazan Alibekovich is simply called “Dagestan commentator.” He comments on competitions with humor, a Caucasian accent and strong emotions, regardless of the sport: wrestling, boxing, football, synchronized swimming. The Dagestan commentator does this very well, and, most importantly, it is funny and unique.
Makhachkala commentator Ramazan Alibekovich Rabadanov became widely known in the “Runet” after his videos with original comments appeared on YouTube. The funny videos with comments were so funny that there was no need to wait long - links to his masterpieces spread throughout the Internet.
Originally from Makhachkala. Two higher educations. He speaks Russian perfectly. Ramazan Alibekovich caught his commentary “trick” in the early 90s, voicing videotapes of dog fights, which he began to comment on in a style that was not even similar to “a la Goblin.” He voices what is happening in a simple way, as if he were sitting in the yard in the company of his friends, with whom he was watching TV.
Ramazan Rabadanov began commentating on football in the year when Anzhi was relegated from the major league. Ramazan Alibekovich was then invited to local television to comment on Anzhi’s home match with Spartak.
In general, the “Dagestan commentator” Ramazan Alibekovich Rabadanov from Makhachkala, with two higher educations and excellent knowledge of the great and mighty Russian language, makes funny comments on purpose. I built a good business on this “trick.”
Interview with Ramazan Rabadanov to 7TV channel
- ORT commentator Gennady Orlov, who worked at the Russia-Holland match, received a TEFI. Isn’t it a shame that this award went to him and not you? After all, your commentary on this fight was very popular on the Internet.
: I'm indifferent to prizes. I have never claimed them and I don’t even know who is giving them, for what and to whom. For me it's just a hobby. When our team went to Euro 2008 and went up against Holland, which beat France and Italy in the group stage, I became interested in how this meeting would end. Therefore, I carefully observed and commented on this on my own. Judging by the reviews online, people loved it.
— What prompted you to try your hand at parody journalism?
: I think there is nothing journalistic about this. This is a common desire of an ordinary person who is interested in sports, in order to somehow express his attitude towards sports. At first I didn’t even know that a lot of people were watching it. I just voiced it and that’s it. Then someone said to me: “Do you know that you are popular on the Internet?” And I didn’t even have the Internet back then.
— Is there any specific preparation for reporting or is this pure impromptu?
: There can be no preparation here. I can't even imagine what it could be. I just watch what's on the screen and figure out what to say. This cannot be said to be some kind of journalistic reporting. It’s as if my friends are sitting next to me, and I’m communicating with them. I kind of tell them what I saw.
— Are there any sports commentators that appeal to you that you look up to?
Ramazan Rabadanov: I used to really like Nikolai Ozerov and Kote Makharadze. I listened to them with great pleasure when they worked at our hockey matches with the Canadians, which the whole country watched. Those comments left some imprint on my heart. And you can say that I imitate them. It somehow happens naturally. Of the modern commentators, I have great sympathy for Utkin and Orlov. I really like your colleagues at 7TV. I love commentators who think, express their emotions sincerely and constantly connect with the audience.
— Would you like to cross the boundaries of your genre and try yourself in serious sports journalism?
: To be honest, I wouldn’t like to be a professional sports commentator. I think it's hard work. I have other plans in this life. Although, if I’m interested in something, I could comment on the season if I start to worry about the event that will be offered to me. And so, when they regularly tell me to voice this today, tomorrow that, I’m unlikely to like it. I will never and cannot do this.
— What don’t you like about modern television sports journalism?
: If I didn’t like something, I wouldn’t sit at home and be silent. In this case, I would write either to the site or to the general director. I really like that now there are many sports channels that report from all over the world. On this wave, in the next 2-3 years we will raise our sport so much that second place at the Olympics will be a national disgrace. Therefore, I am glad in which direction we are moving, and I would not like to criticize anyone. Everyone works to the best of their ability, and our television is thriving.
The most famous comments of Ramazan Rabadanov
Synchronized swimming at the 2008 Olympics
“Stepan Razin was still listening to this music when he threw the princess into the Volga. Then, apparently, synchronized swimming was born.”
“It’s not clear how they breathe? Seven of the nine holes on our body are always under water. There are no gills. Gill no. There are no gills!”
STUDIO UTRO2 2005 Makhachkala Dagestan XXXVI International Free-style Wrestling Tournament in the Memory of Ali Aliev
Struggle
“The blue one is Cuban, the red one – now we’ll see... they’ll show you the tights. It looks like it's from Dagestan, but there are no such tights in Dagestan; multi-colored and varied ones haven't arrived yet. Iranian probably, Iranian. So, dear friends, I remind you: this is an Iranian and a Cuban. Yes, an amazing twist in freestyle wrestling, dear friends. A Cuban from the island of distant Cuba, this island is located in the Caribbean Sea; Dear friends, those who don’t know geography, this island is located near America. Like Lukashenko, Fidel Castro is still resisting the onslaught of world imperialism, and so far they…. Wah! How many people! “We didn’t lose to anyone.”
“The Cuban asks - Give me a point, give me, he says, a point! These Cubans are cunning! Dear friends... These Cubans are amazing, it’s unclear where they came from! They have not developed wrestling, but they have developed boxing. Cuban boxers are the greatest boxers in the whole world! We came here to the most powerful republic of Dagestan and here they do all sorts of things! I don’t want a doctor, he says, I don’t need a doctor, leave me alone! The Cuban won."
“The Dagestanis applaud, they are grateful that they came from afar, but the audience constantly cheers for the Cubans, and you can also cheer for the Iranians. We decorated our tournament. So, dear friends, let’s see who came to the tournament.”
“So, dear friends, the red one is Azerbaijani, and the blue one is Georgian. Two states already. States. Independent states. Their representatives have arrived. Always unshaven Azerbaijanis and clean, neat Georgians. Well, Cubans don't have money. 50 dollars is a lot of money for them. If you win, they give you $5,000 or sometimes $20,000. For them, for people who receive rationed bread. It is impossible to buy two shirts from them - you may be punished! Strictly limited consumption of bread in Cuba. When we had Gorbachev’s perestroika, this is the situation our dear friends find themselves in. But the fearless commander, Fidel Castro, believes that one can endure for the sake of the homeland and for the sake of freedom, for the sake of the homeland.”
“Fidel Castro and Raul Castro made a coup in 1959 and are still holding on, but Jamal Aliyev is losing to the Iranians. And here’s another story: how quickly they take care of the carpet! Please note: the carpet is well stretched and even. Although fighters today sweat little, there is also little blood. But, nevertheless, cleaning is organized here, sanitary conditions are excellent. You can immediately feel that in Dagestan there is a sanitary and epidemiological station that strictly monitors that the wrestlers do not pass on any disease from each other. And the audience also actively participates... even, look, there’s one old man who opened his mouth and still can’t close it. Here! Now it’s closed.”
“Look, the camera shows us Iranian coaches. This is what Iranians are like. That's it, he says: manty, he says, manty, he scolds, he says manty! They shout together. He's probably scolding his athlete. What does this mean in Iranian? They scold their athlete: what are you doing, what are you doing, I told you, I told you: what are you doing? Well, go ahead, now go say hello by the hand... well, you lost everything. There's a sporting event here. Go, go. And... the coaches are sad, sad. And the Georgian coach is walking behind, look, he’s trampling like a shaitan! They are such maniacs, this is how the struggle happens.”
Ramazan Rabadanov comments on the fight. This is his strong point. They say that it was from this video that the Dagestan commentator became famous in RuNet:
Football
“The Finns have plenty of their own, but for some reason they buy timber from us... Mysterious Suomi... The country is poor, but the people are rich. God grant us the same.”
“We didn’t score a single goal, but we won 2:0.”
The 2006 FIFA World Cup final between Italy and France in Germany. Ramazan Rabadanov comments on the incident between Zidane and Materazzi (Zidane's headbutt into Materazzi's chest).
“Look: Materazzi is holding Zidane. Zidane tells Materazzi: don’t sit behind him, the owner is here, so don’t push.”
“Look at Materazzi’s jaw - he’s saying something to Zidane. And Zidane turns and delivers a stunning blow! Tight."
“This blow resonated so much around the globe, even more than Zidane’s own ball, it had such consequences.”
Game Russia - Holland: A Russian is in the stands, surrounded by enemy fans, with a Russian flag and the inscription “Volgograd”. A Russian heroically waves the Russian flag alone among the “Dutch oranges”.
Ramazan Rabadanov: “This is a feat! Holding a flag in front of the Dutch nose and spewing out your joy so violently... Feet into my mouth is courage. Fuck my brain, this is dangerous.”
Almost no one knows the face of one of the most famous residents of the republic, although his voice is familiar to all sports fans in Dagestan, and, perhaps, throughout Russia. Ramazan Rabadanov is a popular sports commentator who made longtime fans remember the master of television reporting, Kote Makharadze. And the point here is not only in the recognizable Caucasian accent and intonations of Ramadan, but also in genuine emotions that turn the commentary of any sports match into a real performance.
All-Russian fame came to Ramazan last summer, after reporting from Euro 2008. The commentator's emotional remarks were instantly disassembled into quotes. But, as it turned out, Ramazan himself is quite calm about football, which has made it popular among millions of listeners. Love for life: combat sports and dog fights, which Rabadanov himself has been filming and commentating on for the second decade.
In 1995, I came across a tape with fights without rules, some tournament in Japan. The fights were commentated in Japanese, without translation into Russian,” Ramazan recalls the beginning of his commentator career. - One of the fighters at the tournament seemed to me like a Dagestani. I was still surprised then: where does a Dagestani come from in Japan, and even perform so well? I checked with my friends and it turned out that this was indeed our fellow countryman from the Akhvakh region. I found out his biography and decided to translate the commentary on the tournament for our viewers. I voiced it - although it turned out somewhat emotional - and showed it to several friends.
Cassettes with hand-made commentary instantly scattered throughout the republic, but unexpectedly for Ramazan himself, the audience liked not so much the fights themselves, but how vividly and emotionally the newly-minted commentator voiced them. After this there were comments on all significant fights and tournaments, and the creation of video compilations of biographies of the most famous fighters.
I commentated on all of Fedor Emelianenko’s fights when he came here,” says the commentator. - But when former world boxing champion Mike Tyson was visiting Chechnya, I had no particular desire to meet. It was enough that he was leading his match with Holyfield when Mike bit off his opponent's ear. I also dub old boxing fights: amateurs bring me archival recordings, tell me who fights with whom, what they are famous for, and ask: dub it, Ramadan! I noticed that no one films or comments on freestyle wrestling, which is such a cult sport for Dagestan! I started approaching coaches and judges at tournaments, and they helped me with advice, suggested which fights to watch, and paid attention to the technique of individual athletes. Several of the wrestling tournaments I covered were distributed on cassette tapes across the country, and people started ordering them by mail. Then I realized that this is not only a hobby, but can also generate income.
The commentator, who had become popular, was invited to Moscow to work for a well-known media holding, and was offered to write his own column, where he could comment on any events in the country and the world, without being limited by any genre boundaries. The main thing, as they emphasized when concluding the contract, is that it is interesting for both the commentator himself and his viewers.
When Saakashvili gave the order to send troops into South Ossetia, I was very indignant. How can you give an order to shoot at civilians? I edited the footage of the Georgian invasion into one video, emotionally commented on it, and the story had a great public resonance,” recalls Ramazan. - I commented on translated programs about animals, and it was really interesting. The one who commented on them in English looked at these wonders of nature somehow listlessly, and this greatly offended me. The cameraman overcame fear and shot a rare shot of a rare predator, the director and editor edited a beautiful film, and the announcer voices all this in a boring, lifeless voice.
Here Ramadan comes to life and spontaneously gives a real master class of artistic commentary to imaginary viewers of an imaginary program about animals.
Look, dear viewers: a lion is coming, an old lion. He was great and strong once, but now he is old. He has no children; it is not customary for them to have children feed their father. A hero, now he dies alone. This is the fate not only of lions, but of all people. No one on earth stayed long, but not everyone succeeds in leaving so majestically, like this brave beast - the mini-commentary unexpectedly begun by Ramadan ends just as unexpectedly. He smiles shyly. - This is how I say in my reports what I see, what comes to mind. Pure improvisation.
But, even being a famous and successful person - in addition to his own column on the Internet, Ramazan has his own television studio in Makhachkala and a new project on the government Internet portal, which he has not yet talked about - our hero does not believe that he has achieved what he wanted in life.
In my head sits the script of a film about Dagestan, where Avars and Dargins, Kumyks and Lezgins, Laks and Russians have lived side by side for centuries. I want to tell in my film about the language, culture and uniqueness of this country, I want to show its beauty. I have already made a preliminary agreement with the leading actors of our theaters; there are businessmen I know who promised to provide support. I’ll make this film and then I’ll say that I’ve done something in my life.
Fragments of the interview recording
My pronunciation is wrong. In Moscow, I signed up for courses with a professional actor and paid 7,000 rubles to change my pronunciation. To speak correctly so that they don’t recognize me. I'm studying English now. But I have developed those mouth muscles that are needed for the Dargin language. For example, we don’t have the letter “o”. Letters "s", "f". To do this, I need to stretch my muscles in a very unusual way. I learned to say the letter “v” correctly, but before I used to say something like the English “w”.
Manny Pacquiao, a Filipino, came to America. He said: if the man is left here, come out. I'll beat everyone. Oscar de la Hoya came out and lost. I want to make a video “the decline of Mexican boxing”, the whole match, all 12 rounds.
