In this guide, we will tell you about Warfronts in WoW Battle for Azeroth and their impact on the development and progression of your character.
0. How to get to the battle front in WoW?
If your faction controls a battle front, then you can queue for the front through the Front Map, which is located in the capital of your faction in Battle for Azeroth. If your faction does not control the front, then you can simply fly to the Arathi Highlands, but in this case you will only be able to kill monsters and players of the opposing faction.
1. Cycle of battle fronts
Battlefronts are full-scale battles between the Alliance and the Horde. This is cyclical content in which one of the factions controls the area (that is, has access to rare monsters, world bosses and corresponding loot), and the second, meanwhile, strengthens its position (surrenders items, gold, Resources for war). When the second faction fulfills the requirements, a battle takes place. Contribution to support battle fronts is taken into account for the entire region (similar to the Mage Tower from the Broken Shore). Each player who makes a contribution receives Azerite and reputation as a reward. After the battle, control of the area passes to the second faction, and the first begins to collect resources for the next battle.
2. Where to start
After the front opens, you will be able to complete simple introductory tasks - explore the surrounding area and make your first deposit. DO NOT CONTRIBUTE UNTIL YOU ARE ASKED TO DO SO AS ASSIGNED! If you deposit too early, you will have to wait an extra day to complete the trial. In other words, wait until a yellow exclamation mark appears on the map among the blue exclamation marks.
3. Contribution to the development of the battle front
Contributions to the development of the battle front can be gold, Resources for war, or items created through professions. You can contribute daily and receive reputation as a reward, which is necessary for progress in the military campaign.
If you want to support your faction with gold, complete the quest Frontline Support: Gold (Alliance) / Frontline Support: Gold (Horde). This requires only 100 gold. This is a small amount that can be invested every day without much damage to the budget. The reward for each of these tasks is 500 units. Azerite and 150 units. reputation with or . Each daily task to contribute to the development of the front gives 500 units. Azerite and 150 units. reputation with the 7th Legion or the Army of Honor. Reputation with these factions is required to gain access to the Mag'har and Dark Iron dwarves. In one day you can complete 10 tasks. To do this you will need 100 gold, 100 Resources for war and various items made using professions. As a reward you will receive 1500 reputation and Azerite 500. The contribution accelerates the development of the front and brings the battle closer, during which you can get a level 370 item, as well as fight the world boss and rare monsters from the Arathi Highlands.
After the expansion launches, items created using professions will probably be expensive, but over time you will be able to buy them at auction without going broke. Characters who accept contributions may ask you for different items, so you can stock up on the auction for future use. Here is a list of items and materials that may be required to support the battle front.
Profession | Item(s) |
Alchemy/Herbalism | Steelskin Potion x2 or Shore Mana Potion x20 |
Blacksmithing/Mining | Monelite-Reinforced Horseshoes x2 or Monelite-Reinforced Stirrups x2 or Monelite Ore x60 |
Cooking/Fishing | Seasoned Loin or Meaty Ham x60 |
Enchanting | Enchant Ring - Mark of Critical Strike x3 or Enchant Ring - Mark of Versatility x3 |
Engineering | Crow's Nest Scope x6 or Frosted Ammo |
Typeface | War Scroll of Battlecry x3 or War Scroll of Intellect x3 |
Jewelry | Any cut stone of unusual quality x15 |
Leatherworking/Skinning | Drums of the Maelstrom or Rough Leather Horse Armor x2 or Rough Leather x60 |
Tailoring | Battle Banner: Quick Harvest or Sea Flax x60 |
It is currently unknown how many weekly contributions can be made and how long each faction will control the front. Based on data received on September 4, 2018, it can be assumed that the Hordes will gain access to the front within three days, after which the Alliance will begin to gather resources for a new offensive.
We plan to collect information about the materials that need to be handed over every day, in order to then determine patterns and calculate the moments for their profitable purchase and sale. On September 4, 2018, the situation on the American servers could have given the Horde:
- 100 gold
If you play on European servers and have similar information, we'd love to read your comments. If you play for the Alliance, please collect data for us as soon as you have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the front. This will help us create reliable material lists and forecast future material requirements.
4. Strategy for battle fronts
It is impossible to lose a battle at the front, but this does not mean that you should let things take their course. If your faction wins the battle faster, you will gain access to world bosses earlier.
During the battle, you can participate in combat operations or collect resources. If you're not dressed too well, you'd be wiser to go for resources. If you like collecting resources, the choice is also clear, because most will probably want to fight. If you belong to this very majority, join the detachment and go to seize positions.
4.1. First stage
At the moment there is only one battle front in the game, in the Arathi Highlands. A player entering the battle front for the first time finds himself in enemy territory and must defeat a mini-boss. After the boss dies, you need to capture the nearest mine and mill. At the mine and mill you need to collect Iron and Wood, which are necessary for construction. If there are too many people at the mine, go to the mill or vice versa. If you have a connection with other players in the group, invite them to split up and go to the mine and mill in equal groups.
4.2. Second phase
You can build buildings at the front that will speed up the victory of your faction. The faster you collect resources, the faster you can build buildings.
- Town Hall→ Fortress→ Lock- The Town Hall and its improved analogs speed up the collection of Iron and Wood, at the second level they give access to barracks and the commander, and at the third they increase the damage from siege weapons and give access to the commander’s special ability.
- Altar of Storms→ This building gives the player a powerful boost in exchange for resources - Raging Power increases maximum health, outgoing damage and healing by 10%, stacks up to 4 times; also grants the Storm Call effect when finding Storm Essence (a rare item that can be dropped from defeated enemies).
- Barracks - this building allows you to hire troops that will defend your base and attack opponents. The resource required for hiring is iron.
- Mill - this building allows you to exchange resources for weapons and armor for units.
- Workshop - this building allows you to construct combat vehicles that provide a quick victory.
Priorities for the assembly team
- Collect 140 units. iron and 140 units. wood and build barracks.
- Collect 260 units. iron and 140 units. wood and build a mill.
- Collect 260 units. iron and 140 units. wood and build an altar to the storm.
- Collect 380 units. iron and 180 units. wood and upgrade the town hall to a fortress.
- Collect 500 units. iron and 220 units. wood and build a workshop with siege engines.
- Collect 620 units. iron and 260 units. wood and improve the fortress to the castle.
All collectors should remember that iron is usually required more than wood, so it needs to be collected more actively. The construction of barracks and a mill significantly increases the combat power of the units, and the construction of an altar of the storm - the combat power of the players themselves. Upgrading the town hall to a fortress speeds up the process of collecting resources and the production of siege engines in the workshop, that is, it enhances the destructive potential of the entire team. Further improvement of the fortress further speeds up the process of collecting resources, allows you to hire additional troops and build siege engines.
In the process of collecting resources, a team of collectors needs to respond to waves of enemies and protect the mine and mill from them. Build and upgrade buildings until three cars appear in the workshop. After that, focus on producing vehicles and defending your base.
While one team is collecting resources, the other team must capture strategic points on the map.
Attacking team priorities
- Capture Novozemie to be able to recruit stronger troops.
- Capture the Nest to allow your siege engines to pass through the center of the map unhindered.
After that, help the assemblers to speed up the process of building machines, break through the enemy gates as early as possible and gain access to the enemy commander.
4.3. Third stage
At this stage, you need to finish off the surviving opponents and take what is rightfully yours. Escort the siege engines to the gate, destroy the gate and kill the enemy commander. In the third stage, collectors and attackers must act together. After destroying the gate, go into the courtyard in an orderly manner, kill the boss and celebrate your victory.
5. World bosses on the Battle Front
The faction that controls the battle front has access to world bosses: Howl of Death for the Alliance and Lion's Roar for the Horde. Bosses drop level 370 equipment equivalent to heroic loot, as well as special toys. The Alliance toy is called the Toy Siege Tower, and the Horde toy is called the Toy War Machine.
6. Awards and loot from Battle Fronts
The faction that controls the front also has access to treasures and rare monsters.

We are starting a series of articles aimed at newcomers to the World of Warcraft universe. We all once started playing, we all had questions, so this series of articles is dedicated specifically to those people who have just begun to explore the expanses of Azeroth.
Today we will talk about Battlefields, the so-called. battlegrounds are the basis of organized PvP in the game. Many people, including me, when they first get to the Battlefield, have no idea what to do here and therefore become not only an easy target for the enemy team, but also begin to get angry and can abandon this interesting part of the game. For example, having been hit in the neck several times in the Warsong Gorge at low levels by pumped-up, experienced level 19 twinks, I forgot about the Battlefield almost until level 40, which I later regretted.
What is Battlefield
The Battlefield is such a zone, a kind of instance, like dungeons with bosses, only for PvP, battles between players. Unfortunately, there are no deathmatch battles, so we will have to work as a team to defeat the enemy.
Initially, each Battlefield was created only for players from one server. This led to a long wait, because even the 1st Battlefield simply didn’t have enough people. Blizzard eventually made Battlegrounds cross-server within Battle Groups, so players from other servers will be in the same zone as you. This system, by the way, will be used in a modified form to search for players who want to go through a certain dungeon and are looking for a group.
You could say that Battlefield is a mini-game in WoW, but that wouldn't be entirely true. Many people spend their days and nights fighting with other players and having a lot of fun doing it.
Today the game has the following Battlefields:
Warsong Gulch - classic capture the flag.
- Arathi Basin - capture and hold points in order to accumulate resources.
- Eye of the Storm - here you need to capture certain points and fight for the flag.
- Alterac Valley - you need to kill enemy generals and destroy enemy structures, while simultaneously completing many different tasks.
- Island of Conquest - you need to capture points, besiege the enemy’s castle using siege weapons, kill generals.
- Coast of the Ancients - a war for the Relic of the Titans located in the fortress.
There is also a complex, non-instanced Lake of Ice Shackles, but its mechanics are worth discussing in a separate article.
Why you should spend time on Battlefields
Everyone decides for themselves whether it is worth spending time on the Battlefield or not. Since no one is forcing you to do this, it’s worth deciding on your goals and priorities. You can simply enjoy the war with real, living opponents. Or you can set yourself the goal of collecting Honor Points, gaining some experience and gaining money.
Honor Points are a type of in-game currency for which players can buy various things from special merchants. Points are given for various actions in PvP, such as capturing and holding a flag, killing other players and winning the Battlefield. The number of points you receive depends on the level of the players and how many times you killed a particular player. Therefore, killing the same enemy by driving him into a corner will not work - Honor Points will simply stop flowing. Although, if Honor Points are not needed...
All savings are now carried out in real time. Killed the enemy - get Points. Previously, they were issued the next day, so, having accumulated a certain amount, you still had to wait until the morning to receive the treasured item. You can look at the number of Points earned by turning on the PvP panel. The maximum number of Points that can be accumulated is 75,000. After that, you simply will not receive them.
Under the number of Honor Points, the same window displays the number of kills committed by your character and the number of Points received per day. Kills are worth accumulating for certain achievements, like 100,000 honorable victories in PvP. Even lower in this window is information about achievements in the Arena, but this, again, is a topic for a separate discussion.
Beginning of the war
To enter the Battlefield, you must be at least level 10. Previously, you had to travel across half the game world to each Field or communicate with Warlords in cities, but now you only need to open the PvP window and select the zone you need on the “Battlefields” tab. Of course, you can still talk to the Warlords the old-fashioned way or go somewhere in the Arathi Highlands or Ashenvale, but the new system is more convenient and will save you time.
After the Battlefields tab has opened, you will see a list of available zones. You can queue up for the Battlefield with a specific number, or simply choose the first one that comes up, which will allow you to enter a battle that has not yet begun or is already in progress, but there is room for a player there.
At the same time, you can queue for 2 different Battlefields, when one of them becomes available, you will see a window in the middle of the screen where you can choose whether you want to join the game, refuse the battle, or simply minimize the window. You will have 40 seconds to decide, after which you will be removed from the queue. If you are already on the Battlefield, you will only have 20 seconds.
Fines and punishments
If you have already entered the combat zone, it is advisable to start fighting, and not go about your business while the character stands at the starting position. Everyone needs an army that can fight, so players who choose to go AFK (move away from the keyboard) will be disconnected from the Battlefield. The same applies to everyone who does not take any action within 5 minutes. Those who fly out of the battlefield or leave of their own accord (by going through a kind of gate at the border of some zones or through the menu) will receive an unpleasant “Deserter” debuff, which will prevent you from entering the next Battlefield for 15 minutes. Since fights don't last long now, it's easier to wait until the end of the fight and gain experience and Honor Points than to leave and get a debuff.
Here, in fact, is the necessary minimum information for those who are just planning to master PvP in World of Warcraft. In the following articles, we will go into more detail on each individual Battlefield, talk about how to fight more effectively on each of them and what you need to do to win.
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is already upon us, which means that soon ranked battlefields will become available to players. Although only level 85 characters will be able to take part in battles on them, you probably already have questions about the new system. Therefore, we have prepared for you answers to the most frequently asked questions that we have encountered during all this time.
IN. Why did you decide to introduce ranked battlefields into the game?
ABOUT. Rated battlefields are an alternative to the Arena, where players can fight against each other on approximately equal terms and gain access to valuable rewards, such as high-quality PvP armor. Instead of having to play in 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5 teams, you'll be able to compete in familiar settings like Arathi Basin or Eye of the Storm, as well as new battlegrounds introduced in Cataclysm.
IN. What will the structure of rating battlegrounds look like?
ABOUT. There are two types of Ranked Battlegrounds: 10v10 and 15v15. They change every week, and you can see the schedule in the calendar by applying the "Call to Arms on the Battlefield" filter.
IN. On which battlefields will rating battles be held?
ABOUT. Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Eye of the Storm, Coast of the Ancients, Battle of Gilneas and the Two Peaks.
IN. What about 25 by 25?
ABOUT. We decided to remove this format. We do not believe that coordinating 25 people for rated battlegrounds is a feasible task. If one of the players suddenly decides to leave the group right before the start of the battle, then this raid will no longer be able to join the battle. We expect that most players and guilds will collect “statics” of 10 people, but it will not be difficult to get 5 people into them if necessary.
IN. How to queue for ranked battlegrounds?
ABOUT. First you need to create a raid of 10 or 15 players, depending on the battlefield format. All raid participants must be level 85, and it is not necessary that all participants be from the same guild. After that, simply open the PvP window, switch to the “Conquest” tab, then “Rated Battlegrounds” and click “Enter Battle”.
IN. Can I queue alone and get into a raid to participate in battles on rated battlegrounds?
ABOUT. No, you cannot queue individually for rated battlegrounds. You must be in a raid with a certain number of level 85 members.
IN. Should all party members be in the same guild?
ABOUT. No. The main thing is to comply with the conditions mentioned above, and belonging to a guild does not play any role in this case. However, if 80% of your raid consists of members of one guild, then winning a battle on a rated battleground will provide additional bonuses to that guild.
IN. How do I know if my Rated Battleground team meets the minimum requirements to receive guild bonuses?
ABOUT. If you enter a battle on a rated battlefield with enough guild members in your team, you will see a guild banner on the top left of the mini-map, this will mean that bonuses will be awarded if your guild wins.
IN. What reward is usually given to the winners of battles on rating battlegrounds?
ABOUT. Conquest points, but not more than your allotted points per week. The limit for each player depends on the individual PvP rating for the previous week (the limit is reset on Wednesdays). This rating can be calculated based on the results of 2x2, 3x3 and 5x5 Arena matches or battles on rated battlefields.
IN. At what rating do players begin to participate in battles?
ABOUT. With a zero rating, it always increases even if you lose, except when your battle rating on these battlegrounds is higher than the matchmaking value (MMV).
IN. What is Matchmaking Value (MMV)?
ABOUT. This is the best indicator for calculating the playing skills of each player. MMV is the game skill rating for each battle type (2v2, 3v3, 5v5 or battlefield) and each player. It is used to quickly select the most suitable opponents. We don't typically advertise these numbers, other than the average MMV for Arena teams.
IN. Will my character's MMV decrease if I lose in a Rated Battleground?
ABOUT. Yes. However, unlike Arena, all players on a team will gain or lose the same number of rating points for these battlegrounds per match, depending on the results.
IN. Does MMV work the same for Ranked Battlegrounds as it does for Arena? (That is, it increases more the higher the rating of the team you beat, and decreases significantly if you lose to a lower-rated team.)
ABOUT. Yes. Your MMV will increase faster if your team wins against teams with a higher average MMV rating than you.
IN. How are you going to avoid the situation of insanely high ratings on ranked battlegrounds with a large number of wins? If the rating only goes down if it is above the MMV, then it looks like the rating will be high on average (compared to Arenas).
ABOUT. If your rating on these battlefields is significantly higher than the MMV, then you will receive a minimum number of rating points if you win. Likewise, with losses, you will lose a significant number of positions in the ranking until it matches your MMV.
IN. Will it be possible to use consumable items and engineering inventions on rated battlefields?
ABOUT. Yes, but the restrictions will be the same as in the Arena.
IN. Will only teams of the same battle group meet as opponents on rated battlefields, or not?
ABOUT. No. Rated battlefields will apply to the entire region, meaning you will encounter teams from any Russian-speaking game world.
IN. Do you plan to introduce special rewards for rated battlegrounds for the highest rated players, like Arenas?
ABOUT. At the end of each season, the top 0.5% of players in the ranking will receive special epic mounts. You will also receive titles through the achievement system, that is, if you take a certain place in the ranking, you will be credited with an achievement, and as a bonus you will receive a title.
Immediately you have questions:
- what kind of battlefields? What the BG in wow.?
- How to get to BG?
- Deserter in WWII punishment for inaction on the battlefield?
- Well, a couple of tips won't hurt you
On the battlefield- abbreviated BG(from English battle ground) battle ground— a separate location is similar in type to a dungeon. BG in wow created for PVP battles, that is, players against players. Two raids (teams) fight for victory in the BG. Players from different servers can participate in wow on BG. The number of players on the BG is limited by the type of battle ground:
BG name in wow | Required level | Number of players on the WWII Alliance x Horde battlefield |
Warsong Gulch | 10 – 85 | 10 x10 |
Arati Basin | 10 — 85 | 15x15 |
Eye of the Storm | 35 — 85 | 15x15 |
Alterac Valley | 45 – 85 | 40x40 |
Shore of the Ancients | 65 – 85 | 15x15 |
Island of Conquest | 71 — 85 | 40x40 |
Two Peaks | 80-85 | 10x10 |
Battle for Gilneas | 81-85 | 10x10 |
Lake of Ice Shackles | 77-85 | 200x200 |
Tol Barad | 85 | The exact number is still unknown Bizzard is still making adjustments ~ 120x120 |
How to get to BG?
In order for you to get to the BG you need to get on the queue:
You need to at least upgrade your character to level 10.
IN long ago, during the time of classic wow and the Burning Crusade expansion, players had to trudge through locations to the battlefield to get to the battlefield or go to their Warlords in the capitals. After the release of the Wrath of the Lich King add-on, everything became much simpler; the player only needs to open PVP window and select the battlefields tab and select the BG you are interested in there. voila, you are in the queue for the WWII battlefield, now all you have to do is wait for the battle to start.
IN On the battlefield tab, you can select Random battlefield - by choosing this option you will queue up for a battlefield that is about to begin or the recruitment of players is almost complete.
Call to Arms- this turns out to be a task for a specific BG for defeating which you will receive more than choosing a specific battlefield
After the BG has become available, the message Enter battle? appears on the screen. You can choose to join - to start the battle, it takes you to the BG accordingly. Or refuse. You only have 40 seconds to choose a solution, so don’t hesitate, otherwise you will simply be excluded from the queue. If you overslept with the choice of solution, you will have to join the BG queue in WOW again.
There are also two open pvp zones - Lake of the Ice Shackles and Tol Barad, you can get into these by queuing using the PVP window and directly being in the location of these pvp zones.
Icegrasp Lake is located in Northrend. Tol Barad is located in the Maelstrom. Tol Barad can be reached by teleporting from Stormwind for the Alliance and Ogrimmar for the Horde.
Deserter in WWII punishment for inaction on the battlefield
R If you get to the battle ground, then fight! Your team needs a warrior and not a windbag who stands on the launch pad or somewhere in a secluded corner! All players who entered AFK mode (AFK - moved away from the computer, keyboard) will be excluded from the battle. Also, those who are inactive for more than 5 minutes will also be excluded. After you are kicked out of the BG location, you will have an unpleasant Deserter debuff - you will not be able to queue for the battlefields for 5 minutes.
Well, a couple of tips for you:
1. In the BG there is a system of division by level (briquettes) 10-19, 20-29...50-69..80-84, 85 in accordance with this system It is better not to go to the BG at the minimum level required by the given battlefield (for example: Warsong Gorge, the minimum level is lvl 10, it is better to go at least level 15) because on the battlefield field there will be a sufficient number of opponents of 18-19 levels, they will simply kill you in two hits. As a result, you will be stuck in the cemetery for almost the entire battle, hence minus one player for your team on the battlefield, therefore reducing the chance of winning.
2. Everyone needs the honor points (honor) that give more for your efficiency than for kills - i.e. a player can kill few people, but he receives more honor: for example, he brought an enemy flag, captured a point, he will receive more honor for the battlefield (from the wow side - you need to be in significant places of a certain battleground: flag control point, etc.)
It seems that everyone has briefly reviewed this very little that is necessary to master PvP in World of Warcraft. Fight, win!!! In the following articles we will take a closer look at all the battlefields and try to explain in detail all the intricacies of combat, BG tactics and what you need to win!
Friends, today I decided to touch on one of the painful topics: Rated battlefields. Somehow I had to get a raid for the Rated Battlefield. When I recruited the missing players, a problem arose with knowledge of tactics and, in general, the presentation of the Rated Battlefield itself. Many players did not even imagine that on the Rated battlefield they needed to think with their heads and play using certain tactics. Most players are used to running around in a regular game, where they stupidly messed around and gained honor.
One player showed off his knowledge and shared his tactics (I quote):
- Me: Well, tell us the tactics of the Gorge, you know the war songs of the races.
- Player. Yes, everything here is as easy as pissing two fingers.
- Player. We run in a heap, knock everyone down in a row, bend the heap towards the flag, who grabs the thread and go back in a heap, on the way back we kill everyone in our way, take away our flag, and the happy ones put the flag on the base and so on three times, that’s all the tactics, what else is there to think about? .
Having heard this, the first thing I wanted to do was kick this player, but then several more unfortunate pvpe players appeared who were convinced of the correctness of his tactics. To my regret, such players were the majority. And I was faced with the question of disbanding the entire raid and recruiting a new one, or reviewing the tactics of the rating battlefield in detail for everyone. Yes, of course, I didn’t dissolve it, but decided to explain...
Through the efforts of me and my friend, we were still able to bring the tactics to the minds of the players normally, without losing our temper, only by the 12th game. As a result, out of 20 fights at the RPB, we won 8. This is after it dawned on everyone: what and how to do...
So I decided to describe, although not all the tactics, but at least the basis for successful play in Rated Battlefields.
Selection of classes for the Rated Battlefield
A good composition is half the success
Flagbearers for the Rated Battlefield
Let's start with perhaps the most key player - the Flag Bearer. The Flag Bearer, aka the tank, is an important player who does a lot of the work in battlegrounds like Twin Peaks and Warsong Gulch. Since at the moment 2 out of 4 RBGs have flags, such a player should be included in every raid.
Nowadays, many raids have a dilemma about who to take as a tank. In most cases, now on the RBG you can see Warriors and Druids wearing flags. Warrior and Druid are much better at holding damage than DK, they can not only fend for themselves in terms of damage but they also have ways to avoid being controlled and only they have increased mobility. Paladin is a little behind in this regard in terms of abilities, but is also not a bad flag bearer compared to DK.
We can talk about this topic for a very long time and sort out the abilities of each class on the shelves, but now we will analyze the Druids and Warriors.
Healers/healers for Rated Battlefield
Damage dealers for the Rated Battlefield
- - good AoE\target damage dealer, not bad with a quick attack, and can survive just as well. It’s quite possible to bet on protecting points, but it’s not as good as players with a pet or stealth players.
Now, friends, we’ve sorted out a little bit of the useful gadgets of classes, now it’s time to move on directly to collecting the raid itself for RPB
From the above, you probably understand that your team should consist of one tank - a flag carrier, 3 -4 healers, and 5 -6 damage dealers. Of course, playing 4 healers is a controversial issue; there may be a lack of damage. The team for RPB should have both AOE shares and damage dealers who have a strong burst on a single target. And also, do not create a raid from only casters or melee units, combine RDD and miles.
- Tank Warrior or Druid
- Healers Pladin Priest Shaman or Druid
- Damage dealers Horns, Mage, Warlock, (Var\DK\Feral), Hunter (Balance Shaman SP)
We have assembled a raid and are almost ready to win on the battlefields, but before we go to battle, let us decide on the main tasks of the players in the raid:
- Raid Leader. Each raid must have a Raid Leader (RL). The RL is responsible for the tactics by which the raid will play and for the location of all players on the battlefield. If there is no person commanding the raid, then even the strongest representatives of their classes will not be able to win the battle.
- Gunner.– there should be a person who will be responsible for the game in terms of goals (targets), it should be a damage dealer, preferably one who is little involved in control, there should always be someone from the raid who can take on this role if the main gunner dies or something something else will happen to him.
- Checker. On non-flag BGs, it’s also not bad to have a person who is responsible for “checking” points, who should knock down checks and report problems that he may have, so that they can help him.
And now some more tips for successful play on Rated Battlegrounds:
- — healers should be well positioned away from each other so as not to catch extra mass control, and if they catch it, then other healers should instantly dispel it;
- — on flag battlefields it is very important to slow down the enemy flag bearer and protect your own;
- — on check battlefields, do not forget to leave someone on defense, otherwise it will be easily taken away by a representative of the stealth group;
- - always know your role, where you are needed, if you don’t understand something, ask the RL before the start of the battle;
- — very often players do not help with goals, thinking that someone else will do it for them, believe me, this is often not the case;
- — on check battlefields, do not forget to do the so-called fake rushes, when the bulk of the players are heading in one direction, and several players capture other points, for example, this could be a group of stealthers;
- — never neglect the opportunity to take control of a point even for a few seconds, ultimately this can affect the outcome of the battle;
- - one of the most important parts of the game on RBG is Voice communication, if players do not inform each other about any actions or problems, then such a raid will fail;
- - You must monitor and report to the RL about the movements of enemy players, especially representatives of the stealth group;
- — from time to time, do not forget to gather and update buffs;
- — if the enemy healers or casters have no mana, believe me, it’s better to control them than to kill them, they do not pose a big threat;
- — representatives of different classes must coordinate and voice their controls;
- - if someone is in a bad mood, it is better to replace him or postpone the raid, since he will project his negative attitude onto all members of the raid (don’t be selfish, besides you there are other people in the raid and many of them have their own problems and worries ).
Well, for starters, that’s enough for you, wait for the continuation of the series of articles about RPB in which I will try to describe in detail the tactics for each BG. I hope my small guide on raid composition for successful play in the Poi Rating Fields was useful for you.
