You can quickly build muscle both at home and in the gym!
Friends, please answer the question: how to gain muscle mass in the army. I serve in the Taman division in the reconnaissance battalion!
Friends, I don’t understand the impression that no one served in the ARMY. That the normal jock guys slipped through and fell apart. Let’s remember how they ate up in the ARMY and how they gained weight. FORWARD (v)
I came to serve, weighed 65 kg, started gaining weight after 8 months of service, took up weights and was dragged to the iron!!! In short, we grabbed soy flour and egg powder, then it came to powdered milk!!! I leaned more on dairy products and legumes!!! In short, I dropped 132 kg on demobilization, now I weigh 127 kg!!! AWESOME!!! (Y)
A lot here depends on the region where you serve, your profession and the branch of the military. I served in the DSB, they drove me so hard that gaining weight was out of the question. Then I became an orderly in the gym and that’s it... I mostly leaned on cereals, there’s a lot of that in the army .And behind the fence, 200 meters away, there was a farel farm, so there were no problems with fresh fish. The army regime helps a lot. Of course, I didn’t gain 2 times my weight like Ilya, but I lost 15 kg in a year and a half, I was called up, 80 kg was discharged 95kg.
Andryukha, I’m sorry, I took a course of methane!!!
So right now the money they make in the Army is not bad :) You can also order sports nutrition;) I know from myself...
I served in the border troops at an outpost. The food was fine, there was a lot of game, plenty of fresh milk. True, we cut the mileage quite well too. But parallel bars, a horizontal bar and homemade dumbbells with a barbell often spent time with us. :-D
Boy, you are lucky to serve in such troops!!! so do what you need (sc) strengthen your FIGHTING SPIRIT, ENDURANCE, TENDONS, TEMPERATE YOUR ORGANISM (md) this will be YOURS for the rest of your life (Y) When you return home, you will put on this muscle mass like a thick sweater quickly!!! :-D it would be good!!! IT'S MY OPINION! ;-) And the answer to the question; SLEEP FOR A LONG TIME - EAT A LOT - UNTIL THE SEVENTH SWEAT "DIY" in the gym (md) (Y)
Guys, friends, thank you very much. The guys in uniform need to help at least with a word. I understand they are green and shy to ask us about their internal issues. Thank you for responding and remembering yourself in the ARMY. Each of us has our own jokes in the Army related to sports and chronic malnutrition and hunger. (v)
;-) Hello! (v)
First of all, you need to understand that we are talking about muscle mass, and not just body weight. Continuing the thought further, we realize that muscle structures are built from proteins synthesized in the body from the simplest components - amino and albumin groups, i.e. broken down to elementary components and digested protein elements of food. From these structural elements, the body will build ITS unique structure of protein molecules, genetically determined by its DNA code. Further: protein is synthesized in the body at a CERTAIN speed, determined by protein metabolism (the level and intensity of protein metabolism), which is individual for everyone and is also mostly set genetically, as well as a neuroregulatory REQUEST to increase protein synthesis.
* CM. CONTINUED below
CONTINUATION:
To effectively gain muscle mass, you need to not just “devour” protein foods, as much as you can “fit into a horse’s feed,” but take a certain amount of food (in terms of proteins, usually 30-50 grams of pure protein per hour). The body will not absorb more, only, perhaps, excessive remethylation of the body will occur, which is harmful...
There is only one conclusion: For the most effective set of mice. mass requires very frequent feeding with small regular doses of protein food, maintaining the body's neuroregulatory request for synthesis (concentration of consciousness on training and significant strength loads, frequent muscle tone and maximum blood supply) + high-quality effective rest. Overtraining in this case is worse than undertraining...
CONTINUATION:
I will only add that the most effective gain of muscle mass is achieved precisely by medium-strength training, that is, with near-maximum weights and high nervous concentration. In this case, the number of repetitions in each exercise is 3-6 for large muscle groups according to the “to failure” principle, 6-8 for medium ones and 8-12 for small ones. The number of approaches is determined by the degree of training and personal monitoring of the condition (based on well-being).
* A number of nutritional supplements and sports nutrition products can accelerate the individual metabolic rate, allowing you to speed up protein synthesis and the body’s recovery after exercise.
CONTINUATION:
However, as for the methods, they need to be changed periodically. There is no single correct and exclusive method. The body gradually gets used to everything, adapts and the growth of strength results and muscle mass (this does not necessarily happen at the same time!) is inhibited, the result is what is called “stuck”. Therefore, the time has come to think and change the methodology.
* For thin asthenics, as well as loose guys with low muscle mass, I can recommend a technique for improving the trophism (blood supply, nutrition) of muscle tissue:
It is necessary to perform isolated exercises with low weight at high intensity and VERY high number of repetitions. At the same time, the muscles seem to become numb, “clogged,” but... (!) adapting, the body greatly develops the network of both capillaries and the lumen of large vessels, providing much better blood supply during the subsequent stage of strength training.
ENDING:
The technique has been successfully tested on my own skin and on many students. (Y)
EG:
At the age of 15, I quite quickly brought this particular technique (for example, the number of dumbbell lifts for biceps, weighing 6 kg with each hand while standing, to 600, and a month later - to 800 repetitions per set... And the biceps began to visibly grow, By leaps and bounds! At the age of 16, I switched to strength training (standing barbell curls for biceps with different grips + barbell curls with an EZ bar on a Scott bench), starting with 45 kg for 8 repetitions, and within a year I brought the result to 65 kg for 6 repetitions. Subsequently, this technique made it possible to add the result when it was “frozen” again...
The same thing happened with the leg muscles, although my results there were more active. But all the same, then the method of 50 repetitions of squats with weight loss resulted in an increase in half a year from 210 to 245 kg.
Best regards, Serge.
NOTE:
A clear sign of correct execution of exercises according to the METHOD OF IMPROVING TROPHICS is overcoming the burning point: during the exercises, there comes a moment when the muscles first become numb (“clogged”), then begin to burn... *It is very important to achieve this point in training! The next stage is overcoming the pain of such a burning sensation and continuing repetitions. 8oI You will be rewarded (fr) - with some training the burning sensation will begin to recede, you will move through it, and a different state of the muscles will appear - a local burning sensation will turn into a general influx of heat, the muscles will begin to swell, overflowing so that the skin on them is about to burst ... :-D (Y)What is the effect
overtraining, that is, how to calculate and determine it based on your own feelings?Efectom peretrenirovonasti yavlyaetsya Katobolizm!! Pomoemu eto vsem izvestno

Modern men do not particularly care about their nutrition when there are so many tempting ways to have a good snack: buy fast food, order pizza or buy sausage in dough at a local stall. And in stores, people are usually attracted not by healthy food, but by something that is bright and tempting, like chips, crackers and other not particularly healthy foods. Therefore, men began to look not quite the way they should: some are very thin, while others are too plump.
Many guys join the army not only to fulfill their duty to the state, but also to become a man. Skinny guys are often interested in: “ How to gain weight in the army?. If you look at it, it’s not as difficult as it seems, you just need to figure out what the male body needs to build muscle mass.
How to gain weight quickly in the army
The modern army has long been improved, as well as its nutrition. It has become much more diverse and better quality. The main secret to quickly gaining muscle mass in the army is to follow a diet and physical activity. Since the army does not allow any slacking, the main conditions will be maintained to the minute. On top of everything else, there will be control that will not allow you to feel sorry for yourself and be lazy.
The main thing is to follow the routine:
- 6 am – rise. Dress quickly and immediately go for morning exercises;
- Charging takes approximately 40 minutes. Usually you run a lot and run about three kilometers in 15 minutes. To increase the load, you can use ankle boots, but these are not particularly comfortable shoes for running, so it is better to purchase weights for your feet. You need to take weights weighing 700 grams. Morning exercises include push-ups, pull-ups, and stress on the abdominal muscles;
Important! The body needs to get used to heavy loads and the fact that it needs to build muscle mass, so it needs to store energy.
- after charging, water procedures;
- breakfast. Usually the morning diet includes porridge and meat. The porridge can be anything. In addition to everything else, they give you an omelet or an egg, a little butter, cheese, tea or coffee with sugar, a little bread;
- after breakfast the usual army business;
- lunch at 13.00. For the first course they give you something liquid - soup, borscht, etc. The second is pasta, mashed potatoes, porridge and meat. Vegetable salad and bread;
- 4 days a week there are classes in the afternoon, 3 times a week the same program of physical activity as in morning exercises;
- dinner at 19.00. Usually they give you some kind of porridge or pasta with fish. Bread, pastry and tea with sugar, plus a small piece of butter.
If you look at the nutrition, it mainly contains proteins and carbohydrates. And these are the most important elements for gaining muscle mass. This is very important, because just after training you need to consume protein foods 20-30 minutes later, and cereals, meat and eggs are saturated with protein, which is so necessary for normal muscle growth. After all, it is after training that protein is absorbed very well and goes into gaining muscle mass, and not into fat deposits.
Physical activity and proper nutrition
Exercising is very important for gaining muscle mass. It would seem that those who want to lose weight engage in sports, however, if you understand the nuances, you can see completely different results. It is known that physical activity stimulates muscle growth and testosterone production in men.
When a man plays sports, he actively burns fat mass and builds muscle mass. But for muscle growth, you need to consume enough protein so that the muscles can grow normally. You can’t eat haphazardly, because if you eat everything in a row, this can lead to stretching of the stomach and the formation of excess fat in the body. Here you need to eat properly and balanced, then the weight will immediately go up, and the skinny guy will begin to turn into a real man.
The military diet allows you to consume sufficient amounts of protein and carbohydrates; a well-established regimen is also an important condition for gaining weight. In the army, a soldier is supposed to eat about 4,300 kilocalories per day, which is much more than the norm for an ordinary person.
Interesting to know! The norm for a man with an active lifestyle between the ages of 20 and 30 is 3000 calories, and between the ages of 30 and 50 – 2800-3000 calories.
In any case, you can be sure that the soldiers’ diet does not contain particularly fatty fried foods, various artificial additives and preservatives - this is proper nutrition, which does not allow excess fat to be deposited in the body. And the effect will not be long in coming. As underweight employees say, they quickly lose their thinness and acquire a more masculine appearance. This literally takes 4 months. But sometimes it happens that the first few months a guy starts to lose everything. Don’t be afraid, the body is not yet accustomed to this regime and is being rebuilt, and soon the weight will begin to increase.
Basic principles for gaining weight
There are certain principles that help a guy mature and achieve good physical shape:
- Meals must be regular! There are no problems with this in the army, everything is calculated to the minute;
- nutrition should be balanced and correct. The food must necessarily contain carbohydrates, which provide energy to the young fighter, proteins for building muscle tissue and, of course, fiber and dairy products. There are no problems with this in the army, because, as mentioned above, they have a fairly balanced diet that will help you gain weight;
- drink plenty of fluids. You need to drink at least 1.5 liters per day;
- The entire proper nutrition regimen must be supported by good physical activity. Without them, muscles will not grow, since proteins consumed with food must be directed in the right direction;
- give the body rest, sleep at least 8 hours a day.
Having figured it out, how to gain weight in the army, you can see that this is not so difficult, especially since this practice can be easily applied at home.
How to gain weight in the army? This question interests many young people. After all, service is not only the duty of every man. This is also a great opportunity for many to get in shape. After all, civil life is full of temptations. And not all young people strive to adhere to a healthy diet or play sports.
In the army, everyone has to follow the regime and do a lot of physical exercise. It should be noted that the problem of nutrition and a healthy diet in the modern army has been completely resolved, which provides maximum opportunity for weight gain and muscle mass. So, all the conditions for working on yourself and your body during service really appear. It remains to be detailed what exactly the male body needs to gain muscle.
How to gain weight in the army - details of the question
If you are wondering how to gain weight in the army, you can immediately note that there will be no problems with this. Most often, weight gain begins automatically, because all the components for this are available. Physical activity and a sufficiently high-calorie diet will be the basis of success, and it will definitely not be possible to avoid the first.
If in civilian life some young people are simply lazy to study every day, the army schedule will not allow them to shirk their studies.
After all, everything will have to be done with maximum precision, on schedule, under control. looks something like this:
- Wake up at 6 or 7 am, exercise immediately after. It takes about 40 minutes; as a rule, you have to run quite a lot. Practice shows that running is an effective exercise for general physical development and for muscles, and it is best to run in ankle boots, as they act as a weighting agent. But you can also purchase and take leg weights with you to the army - this is a special sports equipment. They will help you achieve the greatest efficiency.
- You can’t take exercises superficially. Push-ups, pull-ups, pumping the press are extremely important for the formation of a strong body and muscles. Try to train fully.
- plays a big role, especially breakfasts. In the army, in the morning they usually give porridge, meat, and other protein products, which are beneficial.
It’s worth saying right away that at first the loads may seem excessive. Often, physical exercise leaves pain and discomfort. This is completely normal, every athlete knows similar sensations. So there is no need to worry about this. Over time, the discomfort will subside. The body will get used to the stress.
Modern army nutrition
In practice, the question of how to gain weight in the army is not particularly pressing. In many ways, the result is ensured by nutrition. There are a lot of proteins and carbohydrates in the modern army diet, it is complete.
The situation that existed years ago is no longer relevant, and the soldiers are not starving.
Yes, many young people still have to deal with a feeling of hunger during service, but this is primarily due to physical activity.
After physical activity, the body requires protein. Food is needed 20-30 minutes after classes, and just after this time the soldiers receive breakfast. After all, after morning exercises, they are given time for hygiene procedures, and then they go to eat. After an intense workout, protein is always absorbed perfectly. However, without exercise, high-calorie foods turn into fat. This is also worth remembering.
Sports are very useful for men, because physical activity produces more testosterone, which is responsible not only for sexual function, but also for muscle gain. When exercising, fat accumulations are burned and muscle mass is built. A person must eat well during physical activity so that these processes proceed quickly.
At the same time, you shouldn't overeat. Eating at random will also not bring benefits.
However, within the framework of the army regime, everything proceeds smoothly. After all, nutrition systems, physical training, and daily routines are thought out precisely for effectively improving physical fitness. There is no doubt that the army turns a boy into a man. The results will be evident in the coming months. Moreover, some guys manage to not only lift weight and gain muscle during their service, but also grow bigger. After all, the male body is capable of growth up to 21 years.
How to gain weight in the army and nutritional habits
The modern army food standard is about 4300 Kcal per day, which is a lot. After all, the male body usually requires about 3000 Kcal, no more. The army diet is tailored to physical activity. It opens up opportunities for the body to develop and pump up muscles. So even the thinnest conscript may well change a lot during the period of service. And you won’t have to make any separate efforts for this. Everything will happen within the normal routine for the army. As a rule, weight loss goes away within 4 months, even if it is significant.
But sometimes in the first weeks a young person loses weight. You shouldn’t be afraid of this either - the body simply adapts to new conditions. It is worth keeping in mind that the increase will begin soon. After all, proper nutrition will contribute to this. And although the army food does not contain excess fats and harmful products, there is plenty of protein.
What else is worth remembering
It is also worth keeping in mind that to gain weight you need to get enough sleep. Today this is also possible. Soldiers even have time for daytime sleep.
The important point is to drink. You should drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day, preferably more.
After learning how to build muscle while in the military, young men can use the same principles in the civilian world to stay in good physical shape. In any case, the essence will remain the same. The main thing is to exercise regularly and not let yourself relax too much.
I went to serve immediately after graduating from school because I didn’t get into the place where I wanted to study. At first I was upset, but then I thought: I’ll serve, and I won’t have to think about it like other guys. In addition, it seemed to me that a young man who had been through the army was treated differently, more respectfully, than those who had not been there. Serve for only a year - time will pass quickly.
Saying goodbye to new recruits on the platform before boarding the train is an unforgettable sight. The guys respectfully shake your hand and pat you on the shoulder, the girls hug you touchingly and barely hold back your tears. When a crowd of people comes to see you off, you immediately realize how many friends you have: against this background, everything becomes somehow simpler. It is, of course, much more difficult to part with my parents, especially my mother: you just know how worried they will be about me. And there’s no need to talk about separation from your beloved girl - everything is immediately clear to everyone.
My first impression was not positive: We board the train, the commander has allocated seats. Some guy simply, apparently, out of excitement, forgot where his place was and asked the major, and he: “You, bespectacled idiot, are you going to create problems for me?” I immediately thought that I was “hit”: the guy got two insults at once! What will happen next? Then some smart guy from “our guys” ran through the carriage and said: “The major needs to make a clearing.”
We immediately thought that we would have to give away the food that our parents gave us for the journey, but no: I just needed to set the table. I didn’t feel sorry for my food, but somehow it felt a little unpleasant. Then I saw how, before leaving the carriage, the guys gave the food given to them by their parents to the conductors, and they willingly took it. The boys, as they say, “unloaded,” but I think they would have needed something if they had gotten hungry later. I didn’t give anything away - my mother cooked! - and then shared it with the others: no one thought it was too much.
The first months of service were difficult, despite the fact that before the army I played sports and got used to physical activity. It was especially difficult and uncomfortable in the field conditions, when it rained in the fall and we spent the night in tents, and during the day we had intensive exercises. At first I thought: how can I stand it? But every day it became easier and easier. I gradually got used to it, and further service no longer seemed so difficult.
We didn't have hazing. The only thing: when it was necessary to withdraw money from the card (two thousand rubles were transferred to it per month), then they had to ask those who had been in the army for several months to do so. We newbies were not allowed out of the barracks anywhere. And so some guys took a “commission” for themselves, that is, they did not give all the money. But then we already knew who was honest and who was not so honest, and, accordingly, we turned to the former. Then everything became freer for us, although during the year of service I was on leave only once.
We were allowed to use mobile communications in very limited quantities, Even my mother could not call more than once a week or two. We handed over our phones to the commanders, although I heard that in some units the guys are even allowed to sit on VKontakte! For some reason, in the army, I wanted to receive letters, the kind people wrote to each other before, that is, by hand, sealed in an envelope. I asked my mother to send me exactly these, and she wrote, but for some reason not all of them arrived.
In the army I gained nine kilograms, but when I returned to civilian life I lost them, and quickly and somehow naturally. In general, an interesting observation: thin people in the army get fat, and fat ones lose weight. The latter are probably due to stress, and the former - because the meals are still regular, not some kind of “snacks”. The food was good: breakfast could be porridge, or even pasta with a cutlet, and tea. For lunch - soup, for example, pea soup, borscht; the second - say, buckwheat with meat, and the third - say, compote, fruit drink. No one left the dining room hungry.
From my own experience, I can say that a person with “hands” in the army has something to do between exercises. Let's say I was stitching up a uniform, sewing towels and pillowcases, and one day I accidentally saw that there was a hole in the flag that was on the parade ground! I spoke about it and they allowed me to stitch it up. And so they built the road, and painted the fences, and trimmed the bushes. The commanders were mostly normal, adequate people - I can’t complain about anyone.
I think a lot depends on the command. I recently learned from a friend who lives in the south that a 19-year-old conscript soldier escaped from a military camp. They searched for him all over the area for more than a week, and in the end they found him hanged next to the unit, not far from the monastery. They say that my colleagues were pestering me. The young man was the son of some high rank, it seems that he was bullied for this, and not only morally. Where were the officers looking? Someone, of course, will be punished, but the guy will never be brought back.
During my time in our unit, only one tragedy occurred: a soldier shot himself because of a girl. He was in an outfit, and in the outfit we had mobile phones. He called her, and she said that she had found someone else, and he, without thinking twice, shot himself, since he also had a weapon with him. I’m very sorry for the guy, but first of all we need to think about the parents, what it will be like for them to lose their son! I think it’s simply stupid to shoot over a girl who couldn’t stand even a year of separation. Such a girl would not be faithful in any case and would still cheat. You have your whole life ahead, the implementation of plans, the fulfillment of hopes - this is not like lying in a coffin at such a young age, burying all your dreams, and not seeing anything else.
I know that not all guys want to serve in the army. One of my friends chose alternative civilian service, not because he was a coward and a weakling, but because he considered himself a strong supporter of pacifist beliefs. In addition, he was confident that violations of basic human rights are not uncommon in the Russian army. He collected the necessary documents, submitted an application and went to the commission. The first time he was refused, he appealed and got his way. It is curious that in the first commission there was only one military man, and the rest were civilians, mostly women. And for some reason they were the ones who were against his decision.
I believe that if a young man does not want to join the army, then there is no need to force him. This is not about “sloping”, but about “alternative”. Not everyone is psychologically ready to hold a weapon in their hands; some are entirely focused on creation and fall into a stupor at any manifestation of violence. I do not agree with the statement: those who have not served are not men.” Every person should have the right to choose. In the end, you can benefit your homeland by working either at the post office or as an orderly in a hospital - I heard that guys who choose alternative service are most often sent there. And you have to serve there longer - not a year, but two.
I returned home in uniform - I put it on specifically to show off to my family and friends. They almost greeted me with placards; a whole celebration was organized! Later, my mother told me how many tears she shed and how much she worried. I marked each day that passed on the calendar and counted how much was left. At any time, for mothers to send their son to the army is, of course, a great test. My dad was very proud of me and told everyone he knew: my son came home from the army! And with my beloved girl, I hope the feelings only got stronger. After the army, I walked around a bit, rested, and now I’m studying part-time at a technical school and working. I think that serving in the army is not a waste of time, but a new and somewhat useful experience.
