Questions about how to take quests and where to run on them usually do not arise, fortunately we are not all down, and QuestHelper sometimes saves the day. Therefore, I will briefly sketch out a leveling plan, without tying it to individual quests; experience can always be gained from mobs.
To begin with, let’s define that character leveling is conditionally divided into 8 categories:
Usually there are no problems with pumping 1-10, so we won’t focus on it.
Let's start with points 10-20, everything here is also simple. I advise you to start with the “Crossroads”, it is located in the steppes near Orgrimmar - the main capital of the horde. Having completed all the quests presented there, we calmly get level 16-18 and move to the South, to “Camp Turajo”, there we calmly take level 23 and, moving to the neighboring location “Thousand Needles”, we begin to do quests there.
This location is replete with quests and getting to level 30-35 is not a problem at all, at the same time you can dress up in quest gear. We start doing quests at the Free Wind Outpost, and then, having received level 30, we go to the Salt Wastes, which lie in the east of this location.
Now, having reached level 33-35, let’s leave Kalimdor alone and turn our attention to Stranglethorn, a tropical paradise filled with mobs and quests.
We go to the goblins in Ratchet and board a wonderful cruise ship going straight to the “Pirate Bay”, but personally I didn’t linger there too much, even though the bay is neutral, you can still get rid of Alliance players there. Let's rewind and take a different path.
We are replacing a presentable boat with an equally presentable airship! And we set off on a direct flight from Orgrimmar to Gromgol.
Having arrived at the place, we quickly take level 40 on simple quests, and go to “Tanaris”, where we collect as many quests as we can, and don’t forget about the Port town on the coast. We may also be lucky enough to gather a group of players and complete the quests of the “Zul Farak” dungeon (at least 2 levels of experience there).
Are you fried under the desert scorching sun? Don't worry, we won't have enough quests there until the 50th, we'll have to run to the other end of the continent, namely to the "Fel Forest"! Quests in the emerald sanctuary, gritting your teeth, but enough for level 50.
And again to Tanaris! But this time only in passing. We march vigorously into the "Crater of Un"Goro", start doing quests literally at the entrance! Then we go to the "Marshal's Shelter", also in Un"Goro", and voila, our 55th!
We move on to the next location - "Silithus", we find there the "Fortress of Cenarius" and now Outland is calling us!
Having received the 58-60th legs in our hands and to the Dark Portal, we shake for a couple of minutes on the manticore and we are in “Tralmar”! Let's show the demons who's boss!!! At the same time, grabbing a levl or two, then to “Falcon Watch” (I was especially pleased with the quest about exposing the Elf-Womanizer). I personally know some craftsmen who have reached level 65 on the peninsula, but this is not our case, so we go further to the “Zangarmarsh”, save the Sporlings (the aboriginal mushroom population) and restore ecological balance =)
And now, having almost level 65 behind us, let's go to my favorite location - Nagrand. The most beautiful landscapes and “friendly” fauna simply dispose us to quickly progress, up to level 68! (I advise you to start leveling up from Garadar, there are a lot of quests, and you can buy something for your reputation).
from level 68 we have nothing to do in the outlands, in front of Northrend. We again use the services of Goblin Airlines and fly straight from Orgrimmar to the Warsong Army Fortress, literally right away we are given a cool (for 68th) weapon, and a good dozen simple quests to kill unfortunate... insects. The 70th is almost in our pocket.
Having said goodbye to the grunts who sheltered and warmed us, we go to the village of "Taunka" Le, rescuing mammoths along the way and cutting off the ears of unfortunate poachers. When the "Fields of Geysers" stop attracting us, we go to the "Borgorok Outpost", then to the "Amber Ridge" " and finally, to "Hladdara".
Having taken somewhere around level 72-73, we go to the other end of the continent - to the “Roaring Fjord”. This time with a direct airship from the Undercity. I think you’ll figure out for yourself how to get a level or two there; the location is already irrelevant for you, and there are a ton of quests.
Personally, at level 74 I went to “Zul Drak” and, starting from the “Black Outpost”, going through the “Rift of Light” and “Silver Curtain”, I got to the coveted level 76.
Having been pretty chilled in the Dull Zul"Drak, wouldn't it be nice to soak up the rainforest in the "Sholazar Lowlands"? The friendly gnomes from the "Ernestway Camp" will politely ask you to go get a drink, killing everything in your path, then an excursion to the "Wild Thicket". You Have you ever ridden a Mammoth? And finally, help in the fight against evil spirits, actually Mother Nature.
And now we are approaching the finish line, some 2 levels separate us from the coveted level 80!!! Where should I go?
I don’t recommend going to Icecrown, it’s gloomily cold there, and probably stinks of corpses, but you can go to Storm Peaks. Let's start our march from a small goblin settlement called "K-3", then we will help the Brunnhild Warriors in their village "Brunnhildar", receiving their gratitude, see what is there at the "Crash Site of Thunder" Arsha and correct the curvature of the time continuum in the "camp" Tunkalo". Let's get a little bit of experience on mobs, and with relief we will get the achievement and level 80 =)
This is where I will end my “teachings”. Finally, I want to say that the path I described is in no way a standard one, everyone levels up as they see fit, but this path helped me level up quite quickly, and here’s another thing... don’t rush to become the 80s, explore the world of World Of Warcraft and don't put the game first in your life.
Smart spending and investments
There are a lot of good things that come across at auction, but you can also get them in the form of rewards for
Completing quests. At the start, 2 mining professions will help out (mining is required): prices for raw materials on any server are always quite high and will allow you to cover all initial costs, including the purchase of a mount at level 30 (provided that you sell your mining not to NPCs, but on the auction).
Flights and long voyages
When you come to a new city or camp of your faction, always visit the flight master first to receive another point on the map (indicated by a green exclamation mark) from him. Don't forget to find out about places from where you can move to another continent (free sailing ships for the Alliance and airships for the Horde). Hint: Some cities can be reached by swimming along the coasts, as long as you don't get too close to the shore and at the same time don't swim to depths where your character will drown.
Information support
The database at www.Buffed.ru will provide you with all the necessary quest descriptions, coordinates and comments. The extensive capabilities of the BLASC client will help you navigate your server. Among its many useful features, it includes a constantly updated database of crafters who can sell good items or improve your equipment.
Healthy eating is the key to success
At the first levels, the need for recuperation is small. But later you will have to take with you supplies of food (replenishes health) and water (replenishes mana). Try to stock up on food in advance, placing 20 units in one stack. Also, if you are not a healing class (priest, druid and to a lesser extent paladin), pay attention to all secondary professions (first aid, cooking and fishing). You can take all 3 secondary professions at once, and all of them
They will come in handy later.
Visit instances
If you can assemble or join an experienced group, it is worth going through instances (i.e. special dungeons) for 5 players. Not all of them are equally profitable (you can find out about the likely trophies in specialized guides), but in any case you will receive the necessary experience points. In addition, here you will learn the basics of competent game play, which will be very useful later. Before the hike
M in the instance, try to take the maximum possible number of quests for this particular location.
Useful rest
If spending your time in the game as efficiently as possible is important to you, try to use your character's rest bonus: during the time he is not in the game, he will
Y “restores strength.” In racial capitals (Ogrimmar, Silvermoon, etc.), as well as in taverns of small settlements, the recovery rate is 4 times faster, so try to exit the game only from these places. The bonus doubles the experience points earned in battles with opponents. Max
The ideal size of the bonus is 1.5 levels, but to do this you must not appear in the game for several days. As an option, level up several characters in turn, receiving double experience points for each.
Levels 1-19
Quest lands:
Durotar, Tauren: Mulgore, Undead: Tirisfal Glades, Blood Elves: Quel'Thalas. At these levels you will become familiar with the starting area of your race. Until about level 19, the quest series is straightforward, so there are no alternative paths. But then you will be sent to other territories, where you will already meet players of the allied races. Now there are several paths open to you; The ones mentioned below will help you reach the maximum level faster.
Levels 19-29
Quest lands:
The Barrens, Stonetalon Mountains, Ashenvale Forest, Thousand Needles and Hillsbrad Foothills.
*Your journey begins at The Barrens and leads from Crossroads to Stonetalon Mountains. Along the way, try to take all available quests. Simply killing the same monsters only in appearance seems faster and easier: in this case, you will not receive any additional experience points, no rewards from NPCs, or increased reputation with friendly factions.
* After this, go to Sun Rock Retreat (50,60) and continue completing Horde faction quests.
* When only those marked in red or orange remain in the list of available quests, change the area. Return back to Crossroads and follow the road north into Ashenvale Forest to complete the Splintertree Post quests. Some quest-giving NPCs will be found right on the road (69.76/68.68).
* Further to the west at Zoram’Gar Outpost (12.33) there will be several more quests. By the way, north of this outpost is the Blackfathom Deeps instance.
Levels 30-39
Quest lands:
Arathi Highlands, Desolace, Stranglethorn Vale, Shimmering Plain, and Dustwallow Marsh
From Tarren's Mill, travel to the Arathi Highlands to the outer Horde post Hammerfall (73, 36).
*For heroes level 38 and above, there are several hidden quests (30,82) on the southern coast of the Arathi Highlands. If you have not yet reached the appropriate level, do not try to cope with quests that are too difficult for you, you will return to the Arathi Highlands more than once on your way to level 43.
*If you only have a choice between red and orange quests, travel either with the Stone of Return to Shattrath City or with Windrunner towards the Undercity to get to distant Kalimdor, where the following quests await you.
Your path will lead you to the Wastelands of Kalimdor. From Sunstone Shelter, head southwest through Charred Valley. In the Wastes, you will find the nearest Wind Rider Tamer in the troll village Night Stalker Village (24,68).
*On the way to the Night Hunter Village, you will pass by the Outpost of the Wandering Spirits and the Taur base (52,56). In both settlements, quests await you that will help you rise from level 30 to level 40.
*From Nightstalker Village, head either through Shattrath City or with the help of a windrider towards Orgrimmar, and then in Durotar (52,13) board a zeppelin and go to the base camp of the Grom'Gol Horde (32,28) in Stranglethorn Vale.
*In Stranglethorn Vale, stop by the Hunter's Camp (36.10) and help Heming Ernest Jr. hunt big game.
*In the south of Stranglethorn you will find the goblin city “Pirate Cove” (27.77). There are Wind Rider Tamers at Grom'Gol Base Camp and Booty Bay to help you navigate Stranglethorn Vale.
*As you progress to level 38, board a ship in Pirate's Cove and travel on it to Ratchet in the Barrens (62,35). From there, fly to Camp Taurajo in the Barrens to get to Dustwallow Marsh.
*The path to Dustwallow Swamp passes by a burned-out inn, in front of which stands the Investigator (29,48). From there, follow the road in a northerly direction.
*There is a Horde-friendly outpost of the Ogre Blightbog (35,30). Find the Windrunner Tamer first, and then take on Brackenwall's quests.
*At the end, go to Tabetha’s hut (45.56) among the swamps and to Sixthirty (40.73), where since the advent of Patch 2.3, treacherous Goblins have been waiting for you with new quests.
Levels 40-49
Quest lands:
Stranglethorn Vale, The Hinterlands, Searing Gorge, Tanaris and Feralas
Go first to Pirate's Cove to complete those tasks there that were previously too difficult for you. Up to level 46 you will have enough work with the local pirates.
*Now take a ship from Booty Bay to Ratchet, and from there on windriders head to Freewind Post in Thousand Needles. The road will take you across the Shimmering Plain in the southeast to Gadgetzan, the goblin capital in Tanaris (50,28).
*In the east of this region you will find Cartel Port (60,23), where you will have to complete further goblin quests. Once you have completed all the quests in Tanaris, head to other locations. Windrunners will help you get from Ratchet to Freewind Post in Thousand Needles.
*From there, head west towards Feralas. Following the road, you will directly stumble upon Camp Mojace (75.42). Support the Taurs in their problems with Gnolls, Ogres and Silithids.
*Also take a look at the western coast of Feralas (44,43), the goblin who has set up a camp there needs your help.
*By the way, in the eastern part of Feralas there is a complex of instances of the forgotten city, which, however, is still too tough for your level.
*After completing your labors in Feralas, use your Stone of Return to quickly travel through Shattrath to the Undercity in the Eastern Kingdoms. From there, use windriders to travel to Tarrence's Mill, and then on horseback to the Hinterlands.
*Find the troll community of Revantusk (80,80) on the coast, where you will receive many new quests that can be completed in the immediate vicinity of this village.
*A series of quests will lead you to the troll city of Jinta'Alor (62,83) which, however, since the advent of Patch 2.3 has become much safer even for singles. Your opponents there have lost their elite status, and therefore no longer pose a serious threat to you.
After completing the quests in the Hinterlands, fly to the Arathi Highlands, and from there ride south to the Alliance region. Your path takes you through the Wetlands and Loch Modan into the Badlands. Here you should not complete any tasks, just find the airfield in Kargat (5.46) so that you can subsequently move quickly from north to south.
*Now go south to Searing Gorge, and then to the Thorium Brotherhood Camp (37,27). Dark Iron Dwarves has some very attractive quests in store for you that you can quickly complete and get a lot of useful items.
Quest lands:
Un'Goro Crater, Azshara, Felwood, Western Mirkshire, Eastern Virkshire, Winterspring and Silithus.
From level 50 to 56, you will sometimes have to jump from zone to zone in order to move forward more successfully.
*From Tanaris, head south to Un'Goro Crater, but first find the local airstrip at Marshall's Vault (52,14).
*You will receive tasks immediately at the entrance to the Crater (70.75). The areas where you need to complete these tasks are very close to each other, so you can complete several tasks at the same time.
*After completing all the tasks here, move from the Crater to the west at coordinates 29,19. In Silithus, find the airstrip at Tsenarion Fortress (50,38). However, do not take on any quests yet, as they are too difficult for your level. From Silithus, fly via windriders to Splintertree Post in Ashenvale. From there, ride east to receive quests in Azshara.
*The Horde's airstrip is located in Valormok (22.51). Pay attention to who gives the tasks at the Alliance Base (10.76). He has two tasks for you that will bring you a lot of experience points. In addition, in the north, on the mountain, there is a goblin hiding (10.76), who also has quests for you.
*After completing all these tasks, fly from Valormok back to Splinterwood Post in Ashenvale, and from there ride north to Felwood.
*complete the quest “Feathers for Nafien” from Grazle (65.9), and Timbermaw Furbolgs (65.7) will allow you to travel further to Winterspring.
*Launch pads and further quests for Felwood can be found in Bloodvenom Post (34.53) and in the Emerald Sanctuary (51.81). Before heading to other quest areas, first find both windriders: one in Moonglade (31.70), and the other in Winterspring (61.38). Do not take on the tasks in Winter Springs yet, as they are not yet up to your level. Use your Stone of Return to travel through Shattrath City to the Undercity.
*From the Undercity, ride west to the Tirisfal Glades, to the Fortification (85,69), where quests for the Forgotten and for the Argent Dawn await you.
*In Western Likhozem, Quest-Givers are hidden in some places: in peasant houses (38.54/47.50/54.63), which you will pass when completing the quest series “The Scourge Cauldrons”, and in the Lumberjack Camp (49 ,31) south of the Dolny hearth.
*When the quests in Western Lichshire become too difficult for you, follow the road to Eastern Likhozland.
*On the way to Light's Hope Chapel (81.58), stop by Marris Manor (7.44). The owner of the estate wants the death of some creatures from Likhozem, which Nathanos Rot also put on his black list (26.75). Take all the tasks from these two before heading off to complete others.
*After reaching Light's Hope Chapel, take all the quests there as well. Take quests for the Scholomance and Stratholme instances only when you find a group suitable for this.
*Go to Winter Springs and Silithus only if you do not get enough points in other places.
Levels 60-70
Quest lands:
Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, Nagrand, Blade's Edge Mountains
Starting at level 60, you enter Outland. Quest areas on the additional continent that appeared with the Burning Crusade are located linearly, so you don’t have to travel back and forth all the time to move forward as quickly as possible.
*Thrallmar (55,37), Hellfire Peninsula, is where your final journey in these levels begins. As your level increases, you will receive more and more tasks from the Horde military forces based there. You will find another landing pad and further tasks in the blood elf base Falcon Watch (27.61).
Once you have completed the quests in Hellfire Peninsula, head west to Zangarmarsh.
*The Cenarion Expedition, which you will meet on the way to the Swamp, needs your help. Cenarion's Refuge (71,64) is directly on your path.
*Outer Horde posts, including Windreitermeister, can be found at Swamp Rat Outpost (85.53) and Zabra'jin (79.64). First complete all Cenarion's quests and those you receive from Swamp Rat Outpost.
*After this, receive tasks in Zabra'Jin. Your next destination is Terokkar Woods. There, find the takeoff pad at Stonebreaker Fort (49,45) and take on the tasks offered to you there.
You will receive further quests from the crashed caravan (37.51) and from one small outer post (29.75) in the southwest of the Bone Heath. After you have visited all the authorities of Outland at least once and completed all the tasks you received there, go to Nagrand - the last frontier on your path to level 70.
*Find the airfield in Garadar (56.35) and don't forget to visit Heming Earnestway (71.40). A hunter pursues the big game of Outland. Also go to the Consortium (31.55). There are some problems in the Oshugun area, and it is your task to help solve them. A number of quests “Ring of Blood” (the starting quest of this series: “Brokentoe”) are interesting because of the rich loot that you and your battle-hardened group can get after completing them. If you still don't reach level 70, head to Blade's Edge Mountains. But remember: each task that you complete at level 70 will not bring you experience points, but additional gold!

A guide for beginning players: where to level up your character? Guide with location maps
Experienced players are often annoyed by questions from newcomers who periodically appear in the general chat regarding further leveling up of their character. Let's say right away that pumping is the further development of your game double in level.
Let's start with the fact that the territories of the game world are called locations. Locations, in turn, differ in the degree of completion. That is, if you are at level 15 of development, then it is completely useless for you to meddle in those locations where level 30 players are leveling up. Firstly, you will not be able to take tasks there to complete (quests), and secondly, the mobs there (characters of the game itself) will quickly kill you. Therefore, we study the following information.
General view of the world
The WoW world is divided into continents and worlds. In the classics, there are two continents - Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. A whole world has been added to WoW The Burning Crusade - Outland, or as some gamers say Outland, and islands, for example, the Exodar and the Island of Bloody and Azure Haze. The whole world of Northrend with its cities and territories has been added to WoW Wrath of the Lich King. In the Cataclysm, some locations were “inscribed” in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, and new ones were added. And the release of Pandaria brought a whole new continent!
A small dictionary
Lvl - character level;
Loka - location, territory;
Kata - Cataclysm;
Quests/quest - tasks/task;
Gamer - player;
An NPC is not a game character, it is often a mob with which the player can interact;
Kach - short for pumping;
BG - battlefield, abbreviation for English Battle Ground
Now let's get to the locations where to upgrade your character
Where to level up your character?
Leveling up characters from levels 1-60.
Map where to upgrade characters from level 1-60 in Kalimdor. Blue - Alliance, Red - Horde, White - both factions
Map where to upgrade characters from level 1-60 in the Eastern Kingdoms. Blue - Alliance, Red - Horde, White - both factions
Territories for characters from level 1 to 10 (lvl)
It's not worth the effort to level up to lvl 10. Experienced game mentors constantly give tasks and guide the novice player. For the Alliance, development to level 10 mainly takes place in the Elwynn Forest - for the human race and, in Dun Morogh (Eastern Kingdoms) - and, and in Kalimdor (Isle of Azuremyst -, Teldrassil - Night Elves and). The Horde has Durotar (, Trolls, Pandaren), Mulgore (Tauren) (Kalimdor) and Tirisfal Glades (Forsaken), Forests of Eternal Song ((Eastern Kingdoms).
For levels 10-20
As soon as you grow up, you begin to slowly explore the game world. The NPC giving the quest usually always gives a quest that must be completed in another location. Some attentive players, precisely following the chain of quests, manage to level up to the maximum.
So, the territories Alliance for players from lvl 10 to 20:
— Western Land, Loch Modan (Eastern Kingdoms);
— Darkshore, Bloodmyst Isle (Kalimdor).
Horde:
— Steppes (Kalimdor);
— Silver Forest, Phantom Lands (Eastern Kingdoms).
4. For levels 20 to 30
I would like to remind you that you should not immediately run to the location, for example, for levels from 20 to 30, as soon as you reach lvl 20. Most of the quests will not be available to you yet. And it will be almost impossible to fulfill them. Advice: pump up a little more in the old location.
By the way, the territories of the Alliance and Horde for lvl 20-30 and above are often contested. This means that the camps of both the Alliance and the Horde are concentrated in one location, so be careful, in addition to mobs, you can be ambushed by a player from the enemy faction, and you will get your first PvP battle.
Disputed territories of the Alliance and Horde:
— Twilight Forest, Hillsbrad Foothills, Wetlands (Eastern Kingdoms);
— Stonetalon Mountains, Ashenvale, Thousand Needles (Kalimdor).
From 30 to 40 lvl
Kalimdor:
- Wasteland, Dustwallow Marshes.
Eastern Kingdoms:
- Arathi Highlands, Alterac Mountains, Stranglethorn Vale.
From lvl 35 to lvl 45 you can still enter the Badlands and Swamps of Sorrows.
Locations from 40 to 50 lvl
Eastern Kingdoms:
- Blasted Lands, Hinterlands, Searing Gorge.
Kalimdor:
- Tanaris, Feralas.
From level 48 you can try to enter Un'Goro Crater and Felwood.
From 50 to 58 lvl
There is just a little bit left and the character leveling speed will go faster. The fact is that from level 58 you can safely go to Outland. There will be new interesting tasks, increased experience for killing mobs. And in general - a new world. In the meantime, from lvl 50 to 58 you can level up to:
— Wintersprings, in Azshara, in Silithus (Kalimdor);
- Eastern and Western Plaguelands, in the Burning Steppes (Eastern Kingdoms).
Leveling up from lvl 58 to 70
From lvl 58 we boldly go to Outland. You can get there through a portal in the Blasted Lands, or through a magician’s teleport, or through teleports that are located in Dalaran and the capitals of the races (where the magician will send you again if you ask nicely). Along the chain of quests we develop up to level 68-69 and are transferred to a new world, where the quality of your character will accelerate again.
Leveling up from lvl 69 to 80
In Northrend, we start from the Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord. Then you can go to Grizzly Hills or Dragonblight. With lvl 75, Sholozar Basin, Zul’Drak, and Storm Peaks will help us.
Leveling up from lvl 80 to 85
And now you have reached the locations of the Cataclysm. You can view character leveling cards in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms.
- Hyjal - located in Kalimdor - leveling up from level 80-82, an alternative to Hyjal could be Vaishir - although it’s very inconvenient to level up there, the location is very beautiful!;
- Underdark - from level 82 to 83, and there is no alternative to the Underdark;
- Uldum - located in Kalimdor - from level 83 to 84;
— Twilight Highlands — in the Eastern Kingdoms — from level 84 to 85.
Leveling up from lvl 85 to 90
And the time has come for Pandaria. You can get to Pandaria after completing a chain of quests in the capitals; each faction has its own chain and quests. /
— Jade Forest — leveling up from levels 85-86;
— Valley of the Four Winds — lvl 86-87, or you can go to the Krasarang jungle;
— Summit of Kun-Lai lvl 87-88;
— Townlong Steppes lvl 88-89;
— Creepy wasteland — levels 89-90.
Alternative ways to level up characters
Dungeons
I would also like to say something about dungeons (insts). By joining a group through dungeon crawling, you will receive more experience for killing elite mobs and difficult bosses. If you successfully complete the game, you will additionally earn a reward in the form of experience, gold or valuable items. Knowledgeable players start going to Instagram almost from lvl 15.
Battlefields
If you are not a fan of doing quests or going through dungeons, but love war, fights, battles with other players, and not with the computer and scripts, then I advise you to level up your character on BG - Battlefields. It is on BG that you can hone your ability to fight with other players!
By the way, completed quests are always colored differently.
If quest is lit gray– don’t do it, it’s no longer relevant for your level.
If the task is highlighted in green– you can do it, but you will gain very little experience. Yellow- The most common. It means that you are quite capable of completing the quest, and at the same time, there is a good reward for it.
And here red and orange colors signal that the quest level is almost impossible for you to complete (but possible), and the experience for it will be decent. As you progress, red quests turn yellow, then green, and finally gray.
The same color gradation is true for dungeons.
And finally, a word of caution. There are workarounds for leveling up your character. You may even be offered to use the services of dishonest players. Better not take risks, otherwise you may get banned for life. Legally, there is such a way. You team up with a high level player and he will guide you through the dungeon completely. You gain experience, plus complete related quests. The time to complete is minimal, thanks to your powerful ally. Enjoy the game.
Race too - the character is created. What's next? This material is designed for both beginners and old-timers who have decided to return to the game after a long break. The material consists of three parts. The first tells what you can do in WoW, the second tells where to do it, and the third tells what your character can do.
So, let's go.
What to do in WoW?
First, a few words about the game content:
- It has long been the custom that the content of the game is divided into two parts. One is called endgame, that is, playing at the current highest level (levelcap). The second is called differently, in this material I will call it “level” and it concerns all the content that precedes the highest level.
- There is an old stereotype that the game begins “on the level cap,” that is, in the endgame. It is not true. Getting to the level cap (highest level) of quest content is exciting in itself. If you are a beginner, then you shouldn’t jump through the levels like a mountain sheep. Miss a lot of interesting things.
- content is divided into solo and group. Solo content is mainly quests and monsters in the “open world”. You can go through them alone. Group content includes group quests, scenarios, dungeons and raids. Playing alone may result in your character being killed.
- group content is designed for 3 (scenarios), 5 (dungeons) and 10-30 people (raids of LFR difficulty, normal and heroic). Raids of mythic difficulty, which require strictly 20 people, stand out.
Now about the classes. There are plenty of things to do in WoW, but basically they boil down to the following things:
- character development;
- study of the surrounding world;
- collecting;
- competition;
- professions and trade.
Let's take a closer look at these aspects.
Character development
A character in WoW develops in several directions. The first and most obvious are levels. Completing quests and killing monsters gives experience, “exp”, which is converted into levels. As levels increase, the character's characteristics increase. Every fifteen levels, the character gets the opportunity to choose one of three talents. Everything is simple here.
Next, the character's appearance. Standing out from the general background is a natural desire of any person. You can stand out from the crowd through the selection of armor, weapons, mount, as well as the title that is next to your name. In the Cataclysm expansion, a thing called transmog appeared, which made it possible to give armor and weapons the appearance of other armor and weapons. That is, if you don’t like a super-duper bow with powerful characteristics, then you can “transmog” it, giving it the appearance of an item that you have in your bags or personal bank.
Mounts, or as they are also called here, mounts, are a separate topic for discussion. In addition to purely external characteristics, the rarity of the mount is of great importance. The more difficult it is to obtain, the more valuable the mount.
At the highest level, character development moves to a different plane - characteristics begin to increase depending on armor and weapons. Almost the entire endgame is about increasing characteristics due to body kit. The scheme here is simple: the character regularly goes on raids, knocking out weapons and armor from the bosses in order to be ready for the next raid. And so on until the next addition.
The developers tried several times to change this scheme. A so-called Path of the Titans was planned for the Cataclysm expansion, but it was cancelled. In the Warlords of Draenor expansion, Blizzard decided to introduce garrisons. The composition of the garrison's buildings influenced the character's characteristics and abilities. In the upcoming Legion expansion they plan to introduce , which will also allow you to make your character unique by customizing the artifact he uses.
Exploring the world around us
Levels 80-85 (locations in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms)
The third addition to the game was Cataclysm. One not-so-great day, the dragon Deathwing left the Elemental Plane and returned to Azeroth. The flight over the planet led to some problems - in some places, Deathwing literally ripped open the earth's surface, caused a number of earthquakes and earthquakes, and also burned several cities.
A special feature of the Cataclysm content is that its locations are not concentrated in one place. They are scattered across Azeroth and were once closed places. For example, but it was closed to visitors. Also in the Cataclysm content there is a unique underwater location - Vay'shir. At one time, Blizzard planned a “sea expansion” where most of the action takes place underwater. However, they decided to conduct an experiment and created one such location. This experiment did not cause optimism among many players.
Cataclysm was not a very successful addition, but I strongly recommend that you complete all the quests. The addition actively used phasing and you will see how Hyjal turns from a burning, devastated forest into a flourishing place. It's really interesting to watch how the location changes according to the plot. If you liked the Stadium, then it’s worth visiting and visiting the Fiery Front. By the way, there is also phasing, but it will take several weeks to open all phases.
Levels 85-90 (Pandaria)
After the experimental Cataclysm, Blizzard decided to return to the classic scheme and not spread locations around the world. As a result, we got a new continent - Pandaria. You can get to Pandaria by taking a quest (the game itself will tell you which one).
The Mists of Pandaria addition was remembered not only for its unexpected plot development (before that, in the history of the world there were only fragmentary information about Pandaria). The game has radically expanded the range of entertainment. The following attractions have appeared:
- combat pets;
- arena "Massacre";
- PvE scenarios, which became an alternative to five-person instances, since they required only three people;
- “funny farm”: after completing a simple chain of quests you get your own garden bed, where you can grow all sorts of healthy fruits and vegetables;
- test modes of the same instances for five people: a complicated mode of instances, in which the mobs were thicker and hit harder than in normal mode;
- challenge arena: the player must defeat several waves of monsters attacking him;
- There are even more rare mobs, although they begin to spawn more often;
In addition to these experiments, the developers introduced several additional locations located on the islands.
- Island of Giants: a location where large dinosaurs roam; by killing them you can farm a bunch of bones, for which you can buy all sorts of trinkets from a local merchant;
- Isle of Thunder: a massive quest hub similar to the Arena and the Fiery Front;
- Timeless Island: an experimental location with a minimum of quests, but with a bunch of elite mobs and rare animals.
What is a must-do in Pandaria? Read below:
- complete the Klaxxi quest line in the Dread Wastes - the story of the Mantid Swarm is very interesting;
- complete the quest line “Operation Barrier” or “Army of Conquerors”;
- fly around all historical places and thereby improve your reputation with the Keepers of History in order to get a mount - a flying saucer;
- improve your reputation with the Order of the Cloud Serpent, buy a couple of mounts from them and take part in races under the clouds;
- hunt Zandalari conquerors and scouts - they drop reputation tokens, as well as nice mounts;
- visit the Island of Thunder and the Timeless Island;
- start a vegetable garden in the Valley of the Four Winds - you will learn the true meaning of the word “farm”;
Levels 90-100 (planet Draenor)
The current addition is Warlords of Draenor. At one time, when it was announced at Blizzcon 2013, many players' jaws dropped slightly - how could such a thing even be invented? Without going into details, the gist is this. The invasion of the Iron Horde begins from the Dark Portal. As you know, the portal previously connected Azeroth with Outland, that is, what remained of Draenor. Now the portal is not green, but dark red, and it connects not just Azeroth with Draenor, but with the past of alternative Draenor... In general, . In short, we need to go to the other side and attack everyone there in the Iron Horde.
The action takes place in Draenor as it was before it fell to pieces. Everything awaits us here as before - quests, dungeons, raids and PvP, but there is one serious innovation on which the entire gameplay is tied. In order to cope with the Iron Horde you will need a squad of warriors. These warriors are called “followers” in the game and can carry out various missions related to the liberation of Draenor. As a result, followers are pumped up, and you receive gold and other goodies. Your warriors are based in a garrison - it's like your personal fortress. The garrison consists of buildings that not only perform certain functions, but also give the character additional abilities.
Things to do in Draenor:
- upgrade the garrison to level 3 (you still can’t avoid this);
- visit Shattrath and see how magnificent this city was;
- complete the meta-achievement to get ;
- visit the Tanaan Jungle - an analogue of quest zones such as the Grounds, the Fiery Front and the Isle of Thunder;
- make several trips back in time, visiting old five-person dungeons (your character level will be reduced to the levels of these dungeons);
Of course, the listed activities are not all that you can do in WoW, but, in my opinion, this is quite enough. Now let's move on to the last chapter, which will tell you how to quickly level up in WoW.
How to level up in WoW
The following activities provide experience in World of Warcraft:
- quests;
- killing monsters;
- gathering professions such as mining and herbalism;
- archaeological excavations (secondary profession - archaeology);
- battle pet battles;
How to quickly level up in WoW - read below:
If you are a new player who does not have gold and connections, then accelerated leveling looks like this:
- pay 40 conventional units and get a level 90 character;
- level up to level 15 and start rallying through instances for five people;
- Before leaving the game, go to the city or tavern. While resting, you receive so-called “blue experience” - the longer you rest, the longer your experience from killing monsters and completing quests will be doubled;
- as soon as you farm enough money, be sure to buy the so-called inherited items, which have bonuses to experience;
- continue the rally across the five-person instance;
If you have returned after a long break and want to level up a new character, then the sequence is as follows:
- buy inheritances with bonuses for experience (if you still lack something). After patch 6.1, they can be purchased and upgraded for gold, not for badges;
- Place main in the Eerie Wasteland near the border with the Valley of the Four Winds (coordinates approximately 75, 20) and wait there for Krol Blade, kill him. With some chance it will drop Elixir of Ancient Knowledge. The tincture increases experience gained by 300% within an hour. The item is tied to your account, so you can send it to your alt by mail;
- alt goes to 5ppl, takes quests there, drinks a bottle and off he goes. Levels are growing by leaps and bounds. However, remember that if you are killed, the effect will wear off;
- ...; profit!
- Draenor;
Actually, that's all you need to know about fast pumping.
